PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT HOURS (PDHS) Meeting Licensing Renewal Requirements Professionals licensed to practice engineering and land surveying in South Carolina are required to demonstrate a continuing development of professional competency as a condition for registration renewal. These requirements area outlined in Article 6, Chapter 49 Code of Regulations of South Carolina. PDH units may be earned by attaining college credits, continuing education courses or by attending qualifying seminars. SEA of SC can help you meet the South Carolina's license renewal requirements under which PEs are required to accumulate 30 hours of professional development hours (PDHs) each biennial review period. As a SEA of SC member you will have ample opportunity to meet these requirements. The responsibility of maintaining records used to support credits claimed is that of the licensee.
